Women's Soccer Falls at Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. (Nov. 1, 1998) - The University of Arizona women's soccer team fell to Oregon State, 3-1, in Corvallis on Sunday afternoon.

For the second game in a row, the Cats jumped out to a quick lead, only to see it disappear before the end of the first half. Freshman KIM McGEHEE scored Arizona's lone goal at 5:38 off an assist by sophomore BROOKE McMANUS. Oregon State proceeded to score two goals late in the first half, then the third with only 13 minutes left in the match.

Ending a seven-game winless skid, Oregon State outshot the Wildcats, 15-9, and improved to 6-10-1 overall and 1-6-0 in Pac-10 play. Arizona, which is on its own seven-game winless streak, goes to 3-10-2 overall and 0-6-1 in the Pac-10.
