Washington won its fourth straight game, improving to 8-7-1 overall with 5-1-1 Pacific-10 Conference mark. Arizona dropped to 6-10-1 and remained winless in seven conference contests.
The game marked the final home appearance of four Washington seniors, all of whom factored into the scoring. Junior Tami Bennett scored the lone first-half goal, lofting a 12-yard shot just inside the right post at 14:27. Seniors Natalie Campbell and Jana Wilson were credited with assists on Bennett's goal.
Biddle, a product of Bellevue (Wash.) High School scored the second goal on an 8-yard header off a cross from freshman Megan McKinstry at 53:33. Junior Theresa Wagner, a graduate of Seattle's Lakeside High School, scored less than one minute later on an unassisted 20-yard blast at 54:15.
Sophomore Erin Otagaki netted the final Husky goal at 84:47. She received the ball at the right post, turned around and scored from 6 yards out. Passes from seniors Stacy Merlitti and Biddle set up Otagaki's tally.
Freshman goalkeeper Hope Solo made three saves en route to her third and Washington's fifth shutout. Shannon Monti recorded 12 saves for Arizona which was outshot 30-5 by the Huskies.
Washington concludes its regular-season schedule next weekend, playing at Stanford on Friday and California on Sunday.
