Sophie RegnierScouting the Longhorns: No. 11 Texas (13-6, 8-0 in Big 12) will look to get back on the winning track after dropping a 5-2 decision to seventh-ranked Vanderbilt, pushing its losing streak to four. The Wildcats will look to avenge a 5-2 loss to the Longhorns last season. Since 1985, UT owns a slim 5-3 series advantage over Arizona. Texas boasts three singles and two doubles teams in the latest polls- Janet Walker (No. 18), Vladka Uhlirova (No. 34), Joanne Masongsong (No. 46), Ulhriova and Walker (No. 9) and Rebekah Forney and Kaysie Smashey (No. 48).

Scouting the Golden Bears: California (13-2, 3-1 in Pac-10) enters the week on a roll having won its last nine matches. The streak includes a 7-0 win over Arizona on March 10. The win pushed Cal's record to 23-8 over the Wildcats since 1985. Anita Kurimay (No. 45), Raquel Kops-Jones (No. 77) and Jones and Kurimay (No. 22) round out the list of ranked players for the Golden Bears.

Scouting the Cardinal: Stanford is an unblemished 19-0 entering this week's play. The Wildcats will look to snap a 33- match losing skid to the Cardinal that includes 6-1 defeat earlier this season in Palo Alto. Four players and three doubles teams find themselves in the latest poll- Laura Granville (No.1), Lauren Kalvaria (No. 7), Keiko Tokuda (No. 33), Lauren Barnikow (No. 22), Barnikow and Kalvaria (No. 1) and Granville and Gabriela Lastra (No. 2).

Cats in the Polls: The Wildcats are 49th in the April 4 edition of the WingspanBank.com poll. Arizona had held down a top-25 ranking for the first seven weeks of the year that was based on voting by the coaches. UA senior Michelle Gough is No. 89 in the latest singles ranking. A win over then ninth-ranked Jewel Peterson of Southern California, 6-4, 1-6, 6-4, and 17 victories highlights her resume. UA's duo of senior Michelle Gough and junior Sophie Regnier cracked the doubles rankings at No. 38 highlighted by 11 victories. Arizona is also ranked fifth in its region as it began spring play. In addition, three UA players find themselves in the singles poll: senior Michelle Gough (No. 3), Larocque (No. 19) and Marino (No. 24).

On the doubles side, Larocque and Marino are ranked No. 12 in the poll.

Double Vision: The Wildcats are a perfect 6-0 when they win the doubles point. Of those wins, UA has swept the doubles contests twice versus Northern Arizona (2/4) and Oregon (2/9). On the other hand, Arizona is 0-10 when it fails to capture the doubles point.
