EL PASO, Texas - Arizona's Ricky Barnes shot a blistering 12-under-par total for 36 holes to take a four-stroke lead into Tuesday's final round at the Savane College All-America Golf Classic.

Barnes, a sophomore from Stockton, Calif, opened play with an eight-under-par 63, which was his career low. He followed that up with 67 in the second round to take a four-stroke lead after 36 holes. For Barnes, last season's national Freshman of the Year, the rounds were his first sub-par efforts of the year.

Also competing for the Wildcats is sophomore Reid Hatley, who is tied for sixth place after his first-day total of 139 (-3). Hatley's second-round 68 was his lowest round of the season.

The Savane College All-America Golf Classic is an invitational tournament featuring 17 of the nation's top collegiate golfers. The event is being held at the El Paso Country Club, a par 71, 6,781-yard layout.
