Following the team's first Friday practice, Mackovic emphasized that the session was a "big teaching day," and that the team "keeps rolling along at every practice." Arizona's well-organized practices continue to move at a fast pace, keeping players moving quickly between drills.
"We have had the chance to run more plays since the players haven't been in full pads. But, we will be in pads tomorrow, and we will have a little bit of full speed work. We are not going to have a full scrimmage, but we are just going to have a lot of team work, especially at the end of Saturday's practice," Mackovic said after Friday's drills.
The Wildcats are allowed 15 spring practices under NCAA guidelines and will conclude sessions with the Spring Game on April 21 in Arizona Stadium.
All spring practices are open to the public. Most are scheduled on the practice facility at North Campbell Avenue and Enke Drive, across from McKale Center, but the Spring Game and some other sessions will be held in Arizona Stadium.
