LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The 12th-ranked USC women's tennis team earned a 6-2 victory over No. 26 Arizona Friday at the Marks Tennis Stadium. With the win, the Women of Troy improve to 9-3 overall and 3-2 in the Pac-10. The Wildcats fall to 6-6 and 1-6 in conference play, extending a five-match losing skid.

Arizona was able to earn two points with wins at the No. 1 and 2 positions in doubles competition. The Wildcat duo of Lindsay Blau and Michelle Gough defeated Brymer and Kara Warkentin, 8-4, while Vanessa Abel and Siri Fomsgaard posted an 8-6 victory over USC's Veronika Safarova and Caroline Christian. The third doubles match was not played.

However, USC swept all six singles matches to ensure the victory. At the No. 6 spot, sophomore Krissy Hamilton-Heinberg played her third match of the season and claimed a 7-5, 6-1 win over Arizona's Laresa Morino. Freshman Tiffany Brymer earned her fourth-straight win at No. 6 and clinched USC's outcome by defeating Joanna Buczkowska, 7-5, 4-6, 7-5.
