Softball Cruises To Fourth Straight Victory

TUCSON, Ariz.- The Arizona softball team cruised to a 5-0 win over South Florida in Tampa, Fla., Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats are 4-0 and have not surrendered a single run to open the season.

Senior Becky Lemke, fresh off a no-hit performance against Florida Atlantic, earned her second victory of the season tossing seven innings of four hit ball while striking out 10 USF hitters along the way.

Catcher Lindsay Collins went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for UA. Lead off hitter Lauren Bauer was 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Arizona returns to action Feb. 9-11 with a road trip to the Fiesta Bowl Tournament in Tempe, Ariz. The Wildcats will face Georgia at 10 a.m and Texas at 1:30 p.m. to open the tournament on Friday.
