Berkeley, Calif. The 49th-ranked Arizona men's tennis team fell to 35th-ranked California, 5-2, today at the Hellman Tennis Complex in Berkeley. The Cats' record falls to 8-7, while the Golden Bears improved to 9-4.

After being swept in doubles play, Arizona seniors earned the Wildcats their two match points in singles play. Michel Stopa beat Hiro Nakamura, 6-4, 6-2, at the No. 3 spot, while at the No. 4 spot Alex Brown defeated Robert Kowalczyk, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

The Wildcats return to action next week against No. 67 Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon, at 1:30.
