The loss dropped the No. 12 Wildcats to 30-7 for the year and to 8-1 in the Pac-10, while the Cardinal improved to 15-17 overall and earned their first conference win to move to 1-8 in the Pac-10.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2> Stanford, which hit the ball hard all day long, overcame a 2-1 deficit with three runs in the third inning and pulled away late with two in the seventh to snap the longest winning streak in the nation. <o:p></o:p></FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2> Leadoff hitter Sean Ratliff hit a solo home run in the third inning and added a sacrifice fly in the seventh to pace the Cardinal day at the plate, while reliever Erik Davis tossed four scoreless innings from the sixth to the ninth to reign in the red-hot Wildcats and earn his first save of the year. <o:p></o:p></FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2> Stanford starter Jeffrey Inman (3-2) picked up the win with five solid innings on the mound. The freshman right-hander allowed just three runs on five hits while striking out six and walking four.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2> The Wildcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on single by Brad Glenn and answered Stanford&rsquo;s run in the second with a sacrifice fly off the bat of C.J.
