</o:p></B></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">ASU out-hit <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State> 12 to two in the game.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>With the win, ASU improved to 40-10 on the year and 6-3 in Pac-10 play.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Despite the loss, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Arizona</st1:State></st1:place> retains its lead in the Pac-10 standings with a 31-9 mark on the year and 7-2 record in conference play.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">UA pitcher Sarah Akamine (8-2) drew the loss, while ASU&rsquo;s Katie Burkhart (22-8) earned the victory.</P> <P class=MsoNormal singles and a home run.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Kaitlin Cochran led off with a base knock to center and moved to second on a Bianca Cruz groundout.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Next, Ashley Muenz singled to center to plate Cochran for the game&rsquo;s first run.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Two pitches later, second baseman Mindy Cowles flied a ball that style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">After scoring just two runs in 14 innings against Burkhart in two previous games, the three-run deficit may have appeared to be an insurmountable one.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>However, UA mounted an unlikely second-inning comeback to tie the game.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Jenae Leles led off with a walk, but was still standing on first with two outs and an 0-2 count on Sam Banister.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>UA&rsquo;s sophomore from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Petaluma</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">Calif.</st1:State></st1:place>, battled to even the count at 2-2 before connecting for a single to center.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">With two runners on, <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Tempe</st1:place></st1:City> native K&rsquo;Lee Arredondo stepped into the box in front of approximately two dozen family members.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The UA left fielder tattooed a ball down the right field line for her second home run of the year.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The round-tripper, which barely stayed fair, tied the game 3-3.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Akamine worked out of a bases-loaded situation in the bottom of the third without allowing a run<SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">ASU escaped a Wildcat run in the top of the fourth, as Callista Balko hit a fly ball to deep center that took Cochran all the way to the wall, before the ASU center fielder came down with the catch.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The Sun Devils scored a pair of runs in their half of the fourth to take a 5-3 advantage.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Cruz singled Jessica Mapes home to take the lead.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
