TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona diving program will host its third annual Wildcat Diving Invitational Friday, Nov. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 21.
Eighty-eight divers from 18 different universities are confirmed for events which will be held at the Michael Kasser Pool in the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
The following teams are confirmed for the invitational: Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Buffalo, BYU, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State, Southern California, Stanford, UC San Diego, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
The Michael Kasser Pool, opened in 2008, played host this past summer to both the Junior U.S. Junior National Diving Championships and the FINA Junior World Championships.
On Friday, the men’s 3-meter and women’s 1-meter springboard competitions will be held with a preliminary/ quarterfinal round in the morning, followed by consolations and a final event in the afternoon. Events will begin each day at 11 a.m.
Saturday will follow the same schedule as Friday only reversed for men’s and women’s events. On Sunday, platform events will be conducted with the option of utilizing platform heights of 3, 5, 7.5 or 10 meters.

UA divers expected to compete in the invitational include Ainsley Oliver, Samantha Pickens, Alexa Wollach and Ashley Herrera on the women’s side and David Austin and Sean Clark for the men. Last week in a dual meet vs. UCLA, both Pickens and Oliver won their first events of the season.
