100 victories and counting…

Arizona’s victory over Arizona State on Oct. 10, 2008 was the first time in program history that the Wildcats defeated their in-state rivals. It also gave the Wildcats their 100th victory in the program’s history.

Records

Arizona also set the record for most overtime wins with three. Arizona has overtime victories over Michigan, Cal State Northridge and Arizona State. The Wildcats are one overtime game away from trying the school record for most overtime games in a season with six. The mark has been done three times (2000, 2005, 2006).

In the Net

Redshirt junior Chelsea McIntyre is one of the reasons the Wildcats have already surpassed last year’s win total. Through 14 games, McIntyre has 67 saves and five shutouts.

Goals

Last season the Wildcats had trouble putting the ball in the net. They averaged 1.07 goals/game. This year is a different story. With more playmakers in the lineup, Arizona has found the back of the net 19 times for 1.35 goals per game average.

Sensational Freshman

Freshman RENAE CUELLAR leads the Wildcats in goals and points through ten games. Cuellar has started 12 of the 13 games she has played in. For the season she has five goals and two assists.  She also scored the game-winning goal against Cal State Northridge in double overtime on Sept. 21.

Local Products

Currently on the roster, the Wildcats have five local players: KARINA CAMACHO (Cienega HS), ALEX DAVIS (Flowing Wells), Jessica Culver, Analisa Marquez and BECKY BARRY (Salpointe Catholic HS).
