TUCSON, Ariz. - Tickets for two men's basketball doubleheaders featuring the University of Arizona will go on sale this weekend.
The Wildcats are scheduled to appear in the Southwest Showdown, Tuesday, Dec. 4, at America West Arena in Phoenix. Arizona takes on Illinois in the first game at 6 p.m. MST, while Arizona State and Utah follow at 8:30 p.m. Both games will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
Tickets for the Southwest Showdown go on sale on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. MST at the America West Arena box office, all Ticketmaster locations, the McKale Center TIcket Office or by phone at (520) 621-CATS. The prices, good for both games, range from $15-45.
Arizona will also take part in the eighth annual John R. Wooden Classic, Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. The Cats face Purdue at 1:30 p.m. PDT, while UCLA meets Alabama at 4 p.m.
Tickets for the John R. Wooden Classic go on sale on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. PDT at all Ticketmaster locations, or by phone at (714) 704-2420. The prices, good for both games, range from $10-150.

Arizona, the 2001 NCAA Tournament runner-up, opens the 2001-02 season against Maryland on Nov. 8 at the Coaches vs. Cancer IKON Classic in New York, N.Y. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
