Arizona Falls to No. 1 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif.- No. 42 Arizona fell to No. 1 Stanford 7-0 at the Taube Tennis Center. The Wildcats struggled against the first-ranked Cardinals lineup that featured one ranked doubles pair and five ranked singles players.

The Cardinal took an early 1-0 edge in doubles, thanks to victories at the Nos. 1 and 3 positions

Stanford improves to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in Pac-10 play while Arizona is now 8-9 and 2-1 in league action. The Cardinal swept all six singles matches to secure the 7-0 shutout.

Arizona closes out this weekend on the road against No. 7 California tomorrow at noon.
