Caitlin Lowe Named Pac-10 Softball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- Arizona sophomore outfielder Caitlin Lowe and Oregon freshman outfielder Lovena Chaput have been named the
Pacific-10 Conference Softball Co-Players of the Week for Mar. 22-28, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Lowe, from Tustin, Calif., hit .572, to help the Wildcats win two games over No. 11 Louisiana-Lafayette on Mar. 25 and 27. In Arizona's 10-3 victory over the Ragin' Cajuns, Lowe led UA's offensive attack with an inside-the-park grand slam. She finished the weekend 4-for-7 at the plate with four RBI, two walks and a grand slam. Lowe leads the Pac-10 with a .520 batting average, including 51 hits. This is the second weekly honor for Lowe and the 94th all-time for the Wildcats.
