NASHVILLE, Tenn. ?C??The Arizona womenˇ?s golf team completed the first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship in third place, after carding a five under 283 on Friday. Arizona State leads the tournament with a score of 280 (-8), tying the single round team record on the course.

UCLAˇ?s Tiffany Joh leads the field individually, with a score of 65 (-7).

For the Wildcats, senior Alison Walshe is currently tied for fourth place after shooting a four-under par 68 during the first round. The Westford, Mass., native gathered five birdies through the first 18 holes.

Junior Adriana Zwanck is tied for 13th place after carding a two-under 70, which included six birdies.? Two strokes behind is senior Mary Jacobs, who sits in a tie for 24th place with a score of 72 (E).

Junior Amanda Wilson is tied for 35th place with a score of 73 (+1) after the first round.

In her college debut, freshman Alejandra Llaneza carded a six-over 78 to tie for 80th play after 18 holes.

Competing as an individual for the Wildcats is junior Marisa Smith, who shot a 76 (+5) on Friday.

The tournament is being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club, which stretches 6,217 yards and is a par-72.

The tournament continues tomorrow, with second round tee times schedule to begin at 8am EST.
