College Station, Texas ?- Arizona junior Roger Matalonga opened up the 2005 NCAA Men’s Singles Championship on Wednesday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.


Matalonga, ranked No. 56 fell today to No. 50 Lars Poerschke of Baylor, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.


Matalonga will pair up with senior Colin O’Grady, currently ranked No. 20 together, at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, May 26th, against the No. 8 duo of Hamid Mirzadeh and Greg Ouellette of Florida.
