TUCSON -In rainy and wet conditions, the University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team completed round one of the Pac-12 Championships on Friday. Hosted by Washington State in Pullman, the event is being held at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club (par 72, 6,200 yards) and will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The final round will start at 8 a.m. on Sunday.

After one round of play, No. 5 Arizona State leads the team race with an 11-over 299. No. 1 UCLA is in second place after shooting a 16-over 304. No. 3 USC and No. 13 California round out the top three in a tie for third (306, +18). No. 17 Arizona sits in a tie for eighth place after carding a 315 (+27). No. 6 Giulia Molinaro of Arizona State leads the individual race with a score of 71 (-1). She was the only player on the day to shoot at or under par and has a three-stroke lead over the rest of the field.

For the Wildcats, junior Kyndall Ardoin paced the team with a tie for seventh-place finish and a score of 76 (+4). No. 86 senior Margarita Ramos sits in an eight-way tie for 25th place. She shot a 78 (+6). No. 92 senior Isabelle Boineau sits in a six-way tie for 39th with her score of 80 (+8). No. 18 freshman Manon Gidali and senior Nikki Koller round out the Arizona five in a six-way tie for 45th place. Both shot opening-day rounds of 81 (+9).

Play will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
