TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona men's basketball players tipped off the 2010-11 campaign by hand delivering season tickets to a number of diehard Wildcat fans.

Daniel Bejarano, Kyle Fogg, Jamelle Horne, Jordin Mayes and Max Wiepking combined to deliver tickets Wednesday evening. The accounts receiving this treatment were selected because they were among the first to renew online during the first day of season ticket renewals.

"It was a pretty cool experience," said Mayes, a freshman guard. "It's always nice to get a chance to thank the fans for supporting us."

Wildcat season ticket holder Jerry Carbonari was excited about the surprise visit, saying, "That was a great, great idea - a nice way to receive our tickets."

The Wildcats open the 2010-11 season with the annual Red-Blue Game on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 1 p.m. in McKale Center. The regular season opener vs. Idaho State is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m.

Non-priority upper level season tickets ($370) are still available for purchase, while there are limited numbers of seats available in all priority seating areas. For more information, please contact the McKale Center Ticket office at (520) 621-CATS or www.arizonawildcats.com.
