"This was a good game for us to have to play. They had a lot of guys who can spread you out and shoot three-pointers, and Maryland does that even more effectively. We gave them too many open looks. When all five guys can shoot the three, they create a lot of problems for teams."
"We had good balance with five guys with 17 points or more, and Luke Walton was our high guys with 21 points. It was a good experience for us, and I think that we will learn a lot once we break down the tape."
"The freshmen stepped up for us and did a good job today. I was pleased with Isaiah Fox's effort because it is always there (in practice). Fox goes after everything, and we need to get that kind of high pursuit from everybody. Dennis Latimore showed signs of why we think he can be a good rebounder. He just has to go after the loose balls more consistently."
"We went with our three-guard lineup of (Salim) Stoudamire, (Will) Bynum and (Jason) Gardner, and they did a really good job. The reason we did that was because we needed more quickness to get out on their three-point shooters. When a team is firing three-pointers like that, you have to go quick against them. Whether we use that lineup will depend a lot upon who we are playing."
