The victory, UA&rsquo;s 12<SUP>th</SUP> straight at home, improved the Cats to 33-11 on the year while the Flames dropped to 28-20 with the loss.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>The Wildcat offense rapped out 20 hits in the game, including seven doubles and two home runs, to reach double digits for the first time in seven contests. Led by a four-hit night by T.J. Steele (4 for 5, 2B, R, RBI), a three-double game by C.J. Ziegler (3 for 5, 3 2B, 2 RBI, R) and a four-RBI effort by Diallo Fon (3 for 4, HR, 4 RBI, 4 R), eight of nine UA starters in the contest finished with at least one hit, including six with two or more.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Meanwhile, Guilmet (9-1) put his first loss of the season - suffered last week at UCLA - behind him with seven impressive innings. The right-hander held the Flames hitless for the first 5 2/3 innings before surrendering a single to center with two outs in the sixth. The looping hit was the only one allowed by the sophomore who lowered his Pac-10- leading ERA to 1.68 with seven shutout innings. He struck out six and walked none for his team-leading ninth win of the year. </FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Left-hander Daniel Schlereth worked the final two innings to finish off the win.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>The Wildcats jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second on a RBI single by Robert Abel, a three-run homer by Fon and a run-scoring double by Ziegler. Fon&rsquo;s blast, a line-drive shot over the wall in left center, was his first collegiate home run.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Arizona then took advantage of a Liberty error, one of four committed by the Flames in the game, for a single run in the fourth before coming up big again in the sixth. Powered by Brad Glenn&rsquo;s seventh homer of the season, a two-run shot to left, <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State> scored four runs on five hits in the sixth to push the advantage to 10-0.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>The Cats added two more runs in the seventh on RBI singles by Bill Rhinehart and Steele, and answered <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Liberty</st1:City></st1:place>&rsquo;s two-run eighth with four runs on five hits in the home half of the frame to close out the scoring. </FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in"><FONT size=2>Dwight Childs, Abel, Ziegler and Oliver Padre all hit doubles in the inning for the Cats. For Ziegler it marked the second game this season with a school-record-tying three doubles, while Padre collected his first career hit in a pinch hit appearance.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in"><FONT size=2><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Liberty</st1:place></st1:City>&rsquo;s David Stokes (7-5) was charged with the loss after allowing six runs ? four earned ? on eight hits over five innings.
