The Nike Tennis Camps returns to the University of Arizona this summer!  Located in the heart of Tucson, the University of Arizona boasts 356 acres and beautiful athletic facilities, including a world-class swimming center.  The tennis camp will utilize the LaNelle Robson Tennis Complex which features 17 regulation size courts, a center-court grandstand and lights.  Campers will stay on-campus at the University of Arizona with access to food courts, the student union, playing fields, a game arcade and a world-class swimming center. 


The camp offers both a resident and day camp option.  Check-in time is 3-5 pm on Sunday, and check-out is 3pm on Friday.  Evening camp activities include: bingo and casino nights, camp talent shows, as well as on-court tennis games and an exhibition night.


Director Tad Berkowitz enters his second season as the head coach of the Arizona Wildcats and his first year as a Nike Tennis Director. In his first season, he led Arizona to a 12-10 record on the season, 3-4 in Pac-10 play. He was promoted to the head position in spring 2005 after serving as Bill Wright's assistant in 2005.A native of Tampa Bay, Fla., Berkowitz has held many national and collegiate coaching positions, including Texas A&M and Alabama where he helped Alabama earn a no.18 national ranking and a berth in the NCAA Championships.  


Tom Lloyd, a former Arizona Wildcat tennis standout will join Berkowitz as co-director of the Nike Tennis camp. Lloyd garnered many accolades and distinctions as a Wildcat. He was a four-time letter winner (1999-2002, 2003-04), and served as team captain three of those seasons (2001, ?'02, ?'04).

7:00 a.m. ?- Wake-up
7:30.-8:30a.m. ?-  Breakfast at Student Union
8:30.?-11:00 am  - Tennis (drills and instruction)
11:00a.m.-1:00 pm ?- Lunch at Student Union 
1:00 -3:00 pm  ?- Match Play
3:00-5:00pm - Off-court activities (swimming, soccer, flag football)
5:00-7:00 pm ?- Dinner/free time
7:00-9:00pm  ?- Evening activity
10:30p.m. Lights out
