TUCSON - Spectators are welcome to attend Arizona Football Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday (Aug. 18) to culminate the Wildcats' fall training camp.

The event is free and open the public and ends with the team's major fall scrimmage.

Gates B and Gates 2-3 open at 6 p.m. with an autograph session from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. along the north endzone bleachers. Following team warm up, Wildcat Radio Network broadcaster Brian Jeffries will introduce players and coaches and head coach John Mackovic will address the crowd at 7:55 p.m.

The team scrimmage, consisting of some 80 to 90 plays, will start at 8 p.m. and run for about 90 minutes.

Concession stands will be open at the northeast ground-level stand for food and drinks, and posters will be distributed from the Gate B entrance tent. Additionally, the UA Ticket Office will offer football ticket sales beginning at 5:30 p.m. through the Gate B trailer.

Arizona opens the season in two weeks on the road Thursday, Aug. 30, at San Diego State in a game to be cablecast nationally but ESPN2 at 7:05 p.m.
