TUCSON--Arizona defense faltered in the 5-1 loss to Oregon Friday night at Murphey Field at Mulcahy Stadium.

Arizona was out shot 13-6 by the Ducks, who scored three times in the first half, and twice in the second.

The Wildcats' lone goal came in the 69th minute of the game when red shirt junior Macke Mutz scored off senior Samantha Drees' free kick.

Sophomore Ashley Jett had six saves on the night, including five grabs in the first half, and fellow sophomore Renae Cuellar led the Arizona with two shots for the evening.

"It's obviously very disappointing," said co-head coach John Galas, "We came out tonight looking for our second Pac-10 win but we just didn't compete. I give credit to Oregon, who came into this match looking fir their first win in conference. Now we just have to rebound and get ourselves ready for Oregon State."

Arizona final match of the season against Oregon State will honor the team's five seniors. The game is set to kick off at 11 am at Murphey Field at Mulcahy Stadium.
