TAILGATING - Please note changes for Saturday
The University of Arizona's 93rd Homecoming is set for this weekend, with football tailgating slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Two great Homecoming traditions - the Homecoming Parade and the Alumni Associations "Tents on the Mall" have necessitated changes to the entrance procedures for Saturday's game. Please note the following schedule and entrance changes for the game:
8:30 am. > Tailgate parking/loading on Eastbound University off of Cherry.
8:30-10 a.m. > Drop-offs for your tailgates will be allowed.
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. > Cherry Ave will be closed to all traffic in preparation for the Homecoming Parade. (No tailgaters will be allowed to enter the Tailgating grounds under any circumstances during this time).
11 a.m. -Noon > Homecoming Parade
12:30-1:15 p.m. Tailgaters with valid permits only may enter the tailgating grounds.
1:30 p.m > Arizona vs. Washington State Kick-off
We will continue to enforce the rules about waiting for another tailgater to park next to you as well as requesting certain spots. It is a first-come first-serve pass and you will be parked based on the order you arrive, no exceptions. Regardless of when your vehicle is parked on the tailgate grounds, alcohol consumption may not begin until 8:30 a.m. Thank you for your cooperation.
Season tailgate passes are sold out, but single game passes are released 10 days prior to each home game starting at 9am and are sold at the McKale Ticket Office or on the phone at 621-CATS. Reserve tent tailgates are also available for parties of 100 or more contact Janessa Cummings at 520-621-2873.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
PLEASE NOTE - As stated above in the tailgating section, starting at 10:30am Cherry Ave will be closed to all traffic in preparation for the Homecoming Parade. Please adjust accordingly if you use Cherry Ave when you park at the stadium. Cherry Ave will re-open at 12:30pm.
