TUCSON, Ariz.Senior outside hitter Angela Lewis recorded 21 kills, leading Sacramento State to a 15-4, 6-15, 15-7, 15-5 victory over Kent State in the opening match of Embassy Suites Wildcat Classic here Friday morning.

With the victory, Sacramento State is 1-0, while Kent State dropped to 0-2.

Junior middle hitter Sarah Chlebana hit .375 (12-3-24) and posted a match-high 17 digs for the Hornets. Senior setter Maureen Rafferty also recorded a double-double with 48 assists and 10 digs.

The Golden Flashes were led by senior outside hitter Carrie Patterson, who posted team-highs in both kills and digs with 12 each.

Arizona and Kent State play at 2:30 this afternoon in the second match of the Classic.
