TUCSON - Missouri avoided elimination with a 6-2 win over New Mexico State in game three of the NCAA Tucson Baseball Regional at Hi Corbett Field on Saturday. Jeff Emens was the winning pitcher of record for the Tigers, going three innings with three strikeouts and no walks or runs. Robert Kraft was the losing pitcher of record for the Aggies, going seven innings with seven hits, two runs, two walks and five strikeouts.

Missouri got three hits and three RBI from left fielder Scott Sommerfeld and two hits, two runs and one RBI from designated hitter Michael McGraw. New Mexico State was led by designated hitter Kurt Snowley and his three hits along with the Aggies' lone RBI from short stop Zach Voight.

Missouri will play the loser of game four (8 p.m. Saturday, Arizona vs. Louisville) at 4 p.m. on Sunday. New Mexico State has been eliminated from competition.
