??????????? TUCSON, Ariz. ?C The No. 18-ranked Colorado State volleyball team posted 18 total blocks en route to a 3-0 sweep over Arizona at McKale Center in Tucson on Friday. Game scores were 30-28, 30-27, 30-28. The Wildcats dropped to 13-14 overall after their final non-conference match of the season, while CSU improved to 19-5 with the win.

??????????? Led by 10 block assists by Tessa Nelson, the Rams posted three team stuffs in the opening frame, seven in the second game and a match-high eight in the final game of the night to seal the victory.

CSUˇ?s Mekana Barnes and Tonya Mokelki chipped in with six total blocks, with each recording a solo block and five block assists. Jamie Strauss added four block assists and a solo block to her match-high 13 kills and Ashley Fornstrom finished the night with four block assists.

??????????? The CSU block party helped rescue the Rams offense that finished with 45 kills and 21 errors on 140 swings for a .171 attack percentage. The effort at the net also contributed to Arizonaˇ?s 31 attack errors in the match and team hitting percentage of .057 for the night.

Freshman Tiffany Owens recorded a double-double, finishing with 12 kills and 10 digs, and libero Alanna Resch posted 19 digs for the Cats in the loss.

Arizona will head out on the road next week with a trip to the Bay Area for matches against No. 7 Cal on Friday and No. 5 Stanford on Saturday. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 8 p.m. MST.
