TUCSON, Ariz. ?- Arizona outfielder Trevor Crowe and catcher Nick Hundley have been named to Baseball America’s All-America teams, the publication announced on Thursday. Crowe was named to the first team and Hundley to the second.

Crowe, a first-round selection by the Cleveland Indians in the First-Year Player Draft, becomes the first consensus first-team All-America player at Arizona since Shelly Duncan in 2001. Crowe has been feted with first-team honors from Sports Weekly, Collegiate Baseball, and now Baseball America this year.

One of five finalists for the Golden Spikes Award, Crowe wrapped the 2005 season with a team-best .403 average. He posted the second-most hits in a single season at Arizona with 106, including 25 doubles, a school and Pac-10 record 15 triples and nine home runs. Crowe scored 83 runs, drove in 54 more and finished with a team-best 27 stolen bases.

Hundley, one of three finalists for the Johnny Bench Award, completed his third season at Arizona with a .352 average, 80 hits, 57 runs scored, a team-high 15 home runs and 46 RBI. A second-round selection by the San Diego Padres, he started 59 of Arizona’s 60 games behind the plate in 2005.
