SEATTLE, Wash. - The University of Arizona women's soccer team battled the Washington Huskies to a 1-1 tie in two over time periods on Friday at Husky Soccer Field in Seattle, Wash.
Arizona (5-5-3) came out strong on offense registering their first goal in the eighth minute of the match. Senior Jessica Culver picked up her second goal of the season with a header off a cross from teammate Ariel Boulicault.
Washington (8-3-2) forward Falon Miller scored her second goal of the season off a pass from teammate Lindsay Elston in the 47th minute to tie up the match. The Huskies outshot the Wildcats 20-6 with junior forward Jazmin Ponce leading Arizona with four shots and two on goal.
With an impressive performance, Arizona goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman registered six saves in the night while Washington goalkeeper recorded two saves.
The Wildcats will take on Washington State (7-4-1) on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Lower Soccer Field in Pullman, Wash.
