TUCSON, Ariz. - Freshman quarterback Willie Tuitama has been named the Pac-10 Player of the Week by College Football, the website announced on Tuesday.

Tuitama helped guide Arizona to its first Pac-10 win of the year in a 29-27 victory at Oregon State last Saturday. The first-time starter complete 13 of 22 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He connected with classmate Mike Thomas on a 75-yard scoring strike, the longest play from scrimmage for Arizona this season, in the second quarter and added and 18-yard TD pass to Anthony Johnson later in the third quarter.
