Roger Matalonga Defeated at All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. ?- In the second day of the All-American Championships, Arizona’s Roger Matalonga was knocked out of the tournament by University of North Carolina’s Raian Luchici in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4. Luchici is currently ranked 27th while Matalonga is ranked 30th. The loss today brings Matalonga’s overall record this fall to 2-1.

 

Yesterday, Matalonga defeated both No. 17 Ken Skupski of LSU and Ohio State’s No. 125-ranked Chris Klingemann in straight sets to advance to the round of 16.

                          

Fellow Wildcats Claudio Christen, Jason Labrosse and Peter Zimmer begin play today in the University of New Mexico Balloon Fiesta Classic. That tournament will conclude on Sunday.
