TUCSON, Ariz. ?- Three Arizona women’s golfers were named to the All Pac-10 Team following play at the Pac-10 Conference Championships in Seattle, Wash.

“Alison, Mary and Adriana have really worked hard this season and are well deserving of all-conference honors,” Head Coach Greg Allen said.  “I feel like the Pac-10 is one of the top two conferences, if not the best, and earning first and second team is quite an honor.”

Junior Alison Walshe was named to the first team, which is her third all-conference award after receiving Big East Conference Player of the Year honors while attending Tulane University.  The Westford, Mass., product has finished in the top-20 eight times throughout the season, including six top-10 finishes.  Walshe leads the Wildcat squad in stroke average (72.97), low round score (67), low tournament score (207), and rounds at or under par (11).

Junior Mary Jacobs and sophomore Adriana Zwanck were named to the second team.  Jacobs was named to the Conference USA First Team during her freshman year at Tulane University.  Zwanck was named to the Honorable Mention All Pac-10 team last year.  Jacobs and Zwanck rank second and third respectively in stroke average (74.70 and 74.87) and top 10/20 finishes (six and four).  Zwanck has shot even par or better eight times throughout the season, while Jacobs has done the same seven times.

“I have said all year that when they are at the top of their game, they are as good as any team's top three players,” Allen explained.  “We need them at their best as we head into the NCAA Regional. If they are at their best, and Amanda Wilson keeps playing well, then we'll have a chance.”
