On injury to Katrina Lindner:
" The injury to Katrina (Lindner) was obviously to her knee. As of right now, her status is unknown. She will be reevaluated tomorrow by our medical staff."
"With an injury like that, you just hope for the best. Katrina is a great kid and is in great shape. Hopefully the injury is not too serious and she will have a quick recovery."
On Post Play:
"Elizabeth (Pickney)and LaKeisha (Taylor) hold a really important role for us. They are both experienced players, and will be expected to perform on defense and offense."
"Liz (Pickney) showed some versatility tonight with her inside play, and her shooting from beyond the arc. She runs up and down the floor really well."
"I was impressed with LaKeisha's athleticism. She performed well on both ends of the floor tonight, and I will expect her to continue strong play like that during the season."
"Our post-play needs improvement defensively. We need to do a much better job cleaning up the boards."
On Freshman play...
"(Dee-Dee) Wheeler is an excellent player. She is a great athlete on defense and on offense."
"Robin (Roberson) is a great shooter, and defensive player. She will hold a big role with our team this year."
Things to work on...
"Our team did really well taking care of the ball in the first half. In the second half, we didn't take care of the ball like we should have, and we became sloppy with our passes. We need to do a better job with the ball, and we will definitely work on taking care of the ball in the upcoming weeks."
"Our ball movement on offensive needs to improve. Our post play in the middle needs work, we need to rotate better on the weak side of the post, and get better shoots."
"This game was something to get the kinks out and to see where we are as a team. I think overall our offensive performed well, but defensively we need to work things out a little more."
