Little Dribblers


The Purpose

Little Dribblers is an instructional basketball program emphasizing the fundamentals of ball handling. The goal of the program is to teach dribbling skills and underline the importance of teamwork. 


The Structure of the Program

Little Dribblers consists of 10 ball handling practices. These practices will be held primarily on Wednesdays from 7:15-8:15 p.m.  The practice dates are as follows:

October 12, 2005

October  19, 2005

October 26, 2005

November 2, 2005

November 9, 2005

November 16, 2005

November 30, 2005

December 7, 2005  

December 14, 2005

January 11, 2006


The first five practices will concentrate on teaching ball handling skills.  The next five practices will be devoted to learning a dribbling routine which will be performed by the team of Little Dribblers three times during halftime of The University of Arizona women’s basketball home games.  These performances will be during the following games:

Benefits of Being a Little Dribbler

Each Little Dribbler will receive an official Little Dribblers t-shirt and a free admission pass to all the women’s basketball home games. In addition to this, participants will have direct interaction with the coaches and players of the women’s basketball team.
