MINNEAPOLIS – Competing at the NCAA Zone E diving trials today, Arizona freshman Samantha Pickens placed fourth overall on the women’s 3-meter springboard to highlight the Arizona divers in action.

Pickens, looking to gain entry to the NCAA Championships next week in Austin, Texas, posted an overall score of 593.40 after being in third after prelims.  She could be selected for the championship meet next week by placing in the top three tomorrow in the 1-meter springboard or if either of the three finalists in today’s 3-m duplicate their performances.

UA’s Alexa Wollach was 46th overall in prelims of the 3-meter competition today as well.

On the men’s side, Andres Guerra was 15th overall with a score of 556.50 on the 1-meter.  Sean Clark was 27th overall with a score of 223.50 in the preliminary round.

Women’s 3-meter springboard
- Samantha Pickens – 4th, 593.40
- Alexa Wollach – 46th, 180.25

Men’s 1-meter springboard
- Andres Guerra – 15th, 556.50
- Sean Clark – 27th, 223.50
