Arizona Soccer Picked to Finish Fourth in Pac-10

TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The Arizona soccer team has been picked to finish fourth, while receiving one first-place vote, in the Pacific-10 Conference in a preseason vote of the league’s 10 head coaches. The defending co-Pac-10 champion Wildcats will return 15 letterwinners from last years squad, including nine starters.

 

Defending co-Pac-10 champion UCLA was picked to repeat as conference champion, receiving eight first-place votes and 80 points in the poll. Southern California was second with 65 points, followed by Stanford with 64 pointes and one first-place vote.  Arizona was fourth (55), California was fifth (51), followed by Arizona State (50). Rounding out the poll were Washington (33), Washington State (22), Oregon State (20) and Oregon (10).

 

This is the highest conference preseason pick for the Wildcats in the history of the program.
