Women's Tennis Prepares for Blue-Gray Classic

TUCSON, Ariz. -

Head coach Vicky Maes and the No. 33 Arizona Women’s Tennis team will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to compete in the Blue-Gray Classic, beginning Friday, Feb. 24 and continuing through Sunday, Feb. 26.

The Wildcats will face off against No. 57 SMU on Friday at 4 p.m. CT.

The tournament field consists of eight teams: Arizona, SMU, No. 12 Virginia, No. 20 Alabama, No. 40 Princeton, No. 58 Illinois, Auburn and Oklahoma State.

The Wildcats fell to Alabama by a score of 4-1 earlier in the season, but without sophomore Kim Stubbe (Mol, Belgium).

Arizona is coming off a four-match winning streak after defeating No. 35 San Diego, No. 53 San Diego State, No. 61 North Texas and No. 46 Cal Poly.
