NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - The Arizona men's golf team is in first place with one round to play in the Anteater Invitational after carding a 36-hole total of 577 (+1).

UA leads the 11-team event by 8 strokes over host UC Irvine.

Arizona was led by Jonathan Khan. The senior is two under for the tournament and tied for fourth place. The Tucson native trails Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio by four strokes heading into the final round of play.

In addition to Khan, Juan Pablo Hernandez, Tye Beal and Tarquin MacManus are all in the top-20. Hernandez and Beall are eight strokes off the pace, tied for 13th and MacManus is tied for 17th and nine strokes back.

The final 18 holes will be played tomorrow. The Anteater Invitational is contested at the Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach, Calif., a par 72/6,919 yard course.
