Manuma Named NFCA Player of the Week

Arizona still at the No. 2 spot

TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona freshman Leneah Manuma was named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I Player of the Week for the week of February 26- March 4, the NFCA announced on March 7.

In seven games last week, Manuma had a batting average of .600 with nine hits, three home runs and six RBI. She had two home runs and four RBI in Arizona's 6-2 win over No. 5 Oklahoma. Against No. 23 Baylor, she went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI. She was also named Pac-10 player of the week on Monday.

For the season, Manuma is hitting .432 with 11 home runs and 34 RBI.

Arizona is ranked No. 2 in the latest USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25. UCLA is at the top-spot with Alabama at No. 3. All eight Pac-10 teams are ranked in the top 25.

Arizona is 28-0 on the season and will travel to California to take on the University of San Diego in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 13 and San Diego State on Wednesday, March 14.
