Tempe, Ariz - The Arizona women's tennis team (7-12, 1-7) wrapped up its regular season Saturday afternoon at Tempe's Whiteman Tennis Center with a 5-2 loss to rival Arizona State.

The Wildcats got off to a good start Saturday as they were able to grab the doubles point from ASU.  UA’s doubles squad was led by seniors Dianne Hollands and Maja Mlakar.  The No. 40-ranked duo knocked off No. 21 Kady Pooler and Lauren Colalillo.  In the teams’ previous match against one another, the Sun Devils took the doubles point, before splitting the singles matches.

Saturday’s singles matches were a different story, however, as ASU took five of the six matches.  Senior Kelly Perry’s 7-5, 6-4 match would be the Cats’ lone victory.

The Wildcats will next play at the Pac-10 Championships in Ojai, Calif., starting on Thursday, April 21st.
