TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's golf team posted a second-round total of 315 (+27) Monday at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Fla.
Arizona's 41-over total through 36 holes puts the team in 15th place entering tomorrow's final round. The Cats have managed just one round at par or better through the first two rounds of play.
Alabama leads the event with a seven-over par 583 total, four strokes ahead of Louisiana State and Stanford. TCU (589), Florida (595) and Oklahoma State (595) round out the top-five places. Individually, Tennessee's Robin Wingardh leads the 75-man field with a five-under 139 total.
Arizona continues to be led by senior Tarquin MacManus. The Cairns, Queensland, Australia, native carded a four-over 76 stands in a tie for eighth place at one-over 145. He seeks his second top-10 finish in three events to date in 2010-11.
Wildcats Jonathan Khan and Philip Bagdade are tied for 58th place at 12-over 156, four shots ahead of teammate Trent Redfern, who is tied for 67th place. Freshman Eric Oja is in 73rd place at 20-over 164.
The Isleworth Collegiate Invitational continues through Tuesday at Isleworth Country Club, a par-72, 7,544-yard layout. Final-round tee times begin at 8 a.m. EDT. Live scoring can be found at www.golfstat.com.
