Wildcat Soccer Incoming Freshman Named Gatorade?s Colorado Player of the Year

Tucson, Ariz. ?- Incoming freshman Gianna DeSavario has been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Colorado.


DeSavario is a Littleton, Colo. native and attends Chatfield High school. She has earned four letters as a forward for the 2004 state championship soccer program. Additionally, last season she was named the 2004 Player of the Year as well as the Most Valuable Player of the 2004 State Game as a junior. She also earned All-Region and All-State honors as a junior in the 2004 season. This January she was chosen by the NSCAA as a high school All-American.


In each state and the District of Columbia, Gatorade Players of the Year are selected in football, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, and boys and girls track and field.
