Hollands Drops Only Wildcat Match of the Day

Los Angeles, Calif. ?- Arizona senior Dianne Hollands lost her consolation semifinal match 7-5, 6-2 on the third day of the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships.  The Arizona doubles team of Hollands and Maja Mlakar fell in the quarterfinal round Friday.  


Hollands, the No. 7 ranked player in the ITA’s pre-season rankings, lost to Alabama’s Robin Stephenson 6-3, 6-2.  Hollands’ record over the tournament is now 2-2; her season-long record is 6-3.


The Arizona women’s tennis team will have next weekend off from competition, but the entire Wildcat squad, with the exception of sophomore Jessie Rochefort will play in the NCAA Regionals Oct. 21-25.
