TUCSON, Ariz. ?C The Arizona womenˇ?s tennis team dropped their first?match of the season today, losing to the No. 32 Florida International Golden Panthers at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center, 5-2.

In doubles the team of Danielle Steinberg and Ariane Masschelein beat Marijana Cutuk and ??Maria Spencely, 8-5

?

The Cats werenˇ?t as fortunate in their other two doubles matches with Natalia Toporowska and Katie Orletsky losing to Liset Brito and Egle Petrauskerite, 8-2, while Jane Huh and Claire Rietsch were beaten by Maria Pazo and Priscilla Castillo, 8-4.

The Golden Panthers won the doubles point, two games to one.

For singles, No. 46 Steinberg remained unbeaten as she knocked off Brito; 7-6, 2-6, 6-3.

The only other win for Arizona came in the number five spot as Masschelein defeated Spencely; 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Arizona is now 5-1 on the season. Their next match is at home against the Long Beach State 49ers on Feb. 15 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
