TUCSON , Ariz. (AP) ?C ?No. 7 Stanford relies on guard Candice Wiggins, who scored 19 points in an 89-64 victory over Arizona, but the Cardinal is finding success in the paint as well with Kayla Pedersen scoring 22.

?

Stanford (15-3, 5-2) won its 10th straight against Arizona as the Wildcats suffered their 22nd consecutive loss to a ranked team.

?

ˇ?They are a very good team. They do a great job of executing and pretty much picked us apart,ˇ± Arizona coach Joan Bonvicini said.

?

The Cardinal relied on post players Jayne Appel, Morgan Clyburn and Pedersen as they combined for 48 points. Appel and Clyburn had 16 and 10, respectively.

?

Pedersen tied her season-high with 22, with 14 coming in the first half.

?

ˇ?This is the best we have had. We had three post players really step up,ˇ±

Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer said. ˇ?They all did a really nice job.ˇ±

?

Stanford still counts on Wiggins, and she came through with 12 of her 19 points in the second half.

?

ˇ?She delivers every game,ˇ± VanDerveer said.

?

Ashley Whisonant led Arizona (6-11, 0-6) with 17 points. Tasha Dickey and Amina Njonkou scored 14 and 13 points, respectively.

?

Arizona trimmed a 23-point lead to 74-60 on a three-pointer from Whisonant with 6:18 left before Appel and Pedersen had back-to-back buckets inside to secure the Cardinal win.

?

ˇ?Pedersen is really good. She is smart. She took the shots that were good for her and her team,ˇ± Bonvicini said. ˇ?She does a lot of little things.ˇ±

?

Stanford made 10 of its initial 13 field goal attempts in the second half, culminating with a three-pointer from JJ Hones to give the Cardinal a 68-46 advantage.

?

Wiggins scored her 10th point following the halftime break on a driving lay-in with 12:31 remaining to give Stanford a 65-44 cushion.

?

ˇ?I try to let the defense give me confidence. Getting easy shots opens up the three-pointers,ˇ± Wiggins said. ˇ?Iˇ?m confident that I can shoot, and I know with Jayne and Kayla there they are going to get rebounds in case you miss.ˇ±

?

Pederson made 8 of 10 field goal attempts in the game, while also grabbing 9 rebounds. She converted a three-point play for a 63-42 lead with 13:12 left.

?

Wiggins second half points included a pair of three-pointers, and then a breakaway lay-up to give Stanford a 53-39 edge.

?

Stanford built a 43-30 lead at halftime on an Appel lay-in at the buzzer as the Cardinal shot 56 percent from the field.

?

Pederson connected on a pair of free throws and a short jumper, while Hones hit a three-pointer during a seven-point run that put Stanford ahead 30-19 with 7:04 remaining.
