Stanford Captures South Central Regional Title
The Cardinal staked an early lead over the rest of the field, and did not look back. Stanford posted team scores of 48.975 on bars, 49.250 on beam, 49.275 on floor and 49.100 on vault to record a team score of 196.600.
Tabitha Yim won the all-around title with a score tally of 39.475, edging out UA’s Karin Wurm, who matched a career high with a total of 39.425. The Beavers would not turn over the lead however, as Tasha Smith capped the OSU floor rotation with a fabulous floor performance, which received a meet-high 9.925 from the judges. The score pushed OSU’s floor score 49.275, which put it 0.050 points ahead of the Wildcats for the meet’s final tally.
