After dropping a 2-1 contest to San Diego State on Friday, the Wildcats responded with a resounding 12-0 drubbing of No. 10 Baylor, and a pair of victories on Saturday over Massachusetts, 4-2 in 13 innings, and Long Island, 4-0, before downing LSU on Sunday?

?

Freshmen Brittany Lastrapes and Victoria Kemp each contributed two-hit efforts and a solo home run, but sophomore designated player Stacie Chambers stole the show with two home runs and five RBI against the Tigers.

Senior pitcher Taryne Mowatt (3-3) hurled her third complete game of the weekend, scattering seven hits and striking out 12 Tiger hitters.? LSU reliever Tiffany Garcia (1-1) drew the loss after 1.1 innings of two-run, three hit work.

?

UA punched right back in its half of the second, as Kemp clubbed her first career home run ?C a one-out, solo shot ?C to left field, evening the score at 2-2.? ?

With the score still tied in the bottom of three, the Wildcats mounted a two-run rally of their own.? After Garcia retired the first two Wildcat hitters, Jenae Leles drew a walk, and Chambers connected on her third home run of the year, a two-run bomb to left.

?

Although Chambersˇ? blast would end UAˇ?s scoring in the inning, UA would load the bases with a Callista Balko walk, a Kemp singled to left ?C marking her first career multi-hit game ?C and a Lauren Schutzler base on balls.? Following Kempˇ?s base knock, LSU lifted Garcia in lieu of Cody Trahan.
