TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona football team will appear on national cable television four times this season, starting with the season opener at San Diego State on ESPN2 in a Thursday, Aug. 30 contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. (MST/PDT).

Fox Sports Net will televise two Wildcat games in October, the Arizona-Oregon game in Tucson on Oct. 6 and the Arizona-Oregon State game in Corvallis on Oct. 13. Both of these games will start at 7:15 p.m. (MST/PDT).

FSN also renewed its annual showing of the Arizona-Arizona State game on the Friday after Thanksgiving with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. MST on Friday, Nov. 23.

All remaining UA games are under consideration for showing through the Pacific-10 Conference's contracts with ABC Sports and Fox Sports Net. Those games not selected for national or regional broadcasts will be shown in Arizona markets by Fox Sports Net Arizona or its over-the-air partner KWBA-TV 58. ABC and FSN are allowed a selection process which gives them the opportunity to pick games a week or 12 days prior to the scheduled playing date.
