Sophomore forward violates unspecified team rules


TUCSON, Ariz. ?- University of Arizona men’s basketball player Marcus Williams will not play in tonight’s game against Arizona State due to unspecified violations of team policy.


Williams, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward from Seattle, Wash., is averaging 18.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in 18 starts this season. 


Seventeenth-ranked Arizona carries a 13-5 record (4-4 Pac-10) into tonight’s game with Arizona State.
